COVID-19 Updates at TIDHI | Toronto Immune & Digestive Health Institute | Canada

COVID-19 Update

Effective July 1, 2020

COVID-19 Update | Toronto Immune and Digestive Health Institute (TIDHI) | Canada

Due to the ongoing pandemic we, like all medical facilities, have been significantly impacted. We have spent considerable time and resources to ensure that our Institute is safe, hygienic and comfortable in the current environment.

We have enough space to maintain adequate physical distancing in our waiting area. Our modern ventilation system ensures adequate air circulation.

Numerous individual exam rooms are available. Our endoscopy suite has enough space in the recovery area for adequate distancing and separation curtains between stretchers with viricidal coating has been installed.

We have instituted a high level, hospital-grade disinfection program that will be performed daily.

We respectfully ask that patients not bring anyone with them to their appointments. There are many areas in the shopping mall to wait or individuals can wait in the free parking lot in front of the Institute.

We require that everyone entering the Institute wear a face mask. If you do not have one then we will provide one for you.

We ask that you not enter the clinic and not attend your appointment if you have any symptoms at all such as: cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, fever, muscle aches, etc. If at all possible, individuals coming for endoscopic tests should try to have a COVID19 test performed with 5 days of the test at one of the free provincial testing centres.

Virtual and telephone care options are also available.
